The Chef did Amber Rose proud with the food provided to us on Tuesday. We’ve truly enjoyed the food and hospitality provided by AR.
Joe, the food was amazing and your team was exceptional. Jennifer ran that crew like a well- oiled machine! This is why I like to use Amber Rose for our catering needs, 100% satisfaction every time. I even had meeting participants comment on both the food and the great crew… Thank You.
You all bent over backwards to accomodate our crazy Toledo Polish traditions- grand march and all. The decor was beautiful, the service perfect and the food out of this world. We have been told it was the best rehearsal dinner anyone in our family had ever been to. We had a wonderful time.

Oh My Gosh!!!!!
“It was like being a kid again and going into my grandmothers house. The original metal ceiling tiles and the wood floor and the other added touches. BUT…. the food. It was so hard to make choices. We started off with the Potato pancake appetizer, Yum. My husband had the Russian stoganoff and I had the Pot roast. It was all great. Then we had to take the desert to go. If you leave this place hungry it would be your own fault. The portions are supersize for the prices. But most of all the staff was most attentive and made sure that you were happy with your dinner. It was such a wondeful dining experience. The little corner restaurant tucked in a little ethnic part of town. For those who might remember, the streets even still had the street car or electric bus lines. I just can’t say enough.” grandmacani
Awesome…Had a hard time making up our minds what to try!
“The food was wonderful. A lot of our favorites on the menu so it was hard to pick just two meals. don’t miss the cabbage rolls, potato pancakes or perioges! Great service on top of everything else. The history of the place is interesting…Read the articles on the wall. They should put the stories on the menu so you don’t have to search for the information.” dellmom-mom
Eastern European Food at its Finest
“My wife and I always are sure to visit Elinor’s Amber Rose whenever we come to Dayton, This is a great restaurant that serves the best Eastern European food there is. I love the Lithuanian cabbage rolls and Lithuanian Kugelis (a rich potato dish served with sour creme). There is also a wide selection of German, Polish, and Hungarian fare along with some Italian and American foods for those less adventurous. The restaurant is housed in a beautiful historic building located in the same neighborhood where many of the Eastern European immigrants settled. You also may be lucky enough to meet the former owner of the Amber Rose, Elinor, who occasionally stops by to chit chat with the patrons. She is a great storyteller and makes you feel welcomed. The Amber Rose is a great restaurant!” globaltrecker78
Went to Dayton to see the US Air Force Museum. The Amber Rose was the closest resreraunt.. And I am so glad it was. The food was fabulous, and plentiful. Do not worry about the appetizers, although good, if you do an appetizer you will not be able to finish your entree.
Hunter Schnitzel was excellent as were the Sauerkraut Balls and the service was outstanding. The atmosphere is over the top.
We visited the Amber Rose tonight for the first time. I had been eager to try it and was not disappointed! The food was great but the service was TREMENDOUS! I can’t believe I didn’t catch our servers name because she was outstanding. My dad and brother are fast and furious eaters and we had a toddler as well and she was everything you could want for that grouping. We will definitely return!
